GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of more preferably under the provisions of Cr.P.C., as illegal, arbitrary and violation of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the 3rd Respondent to take steps for my appearance before the said authority by duly serving a notice in any recognized mode of communication duly mentioning the necessary details of the case in which my appearance / presence is required etc..” 2 2. Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that, three crimes have been registered against the Petitioner and the Police have issued notice under Section 160 Cr.P.C to the Petitioner. It is further submitted that, the grievance of the Petitioner appears to be seeking a direction to the Police to serve the notice to the Petitioner in a recognized mode of communication by mentioning the details of the case in which his presence is required to the Police Officer. 3. Sri K.A.Narasimha, learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that, let there be a direction to the Police to issue notice duly mentioning the necessary details of the case. 4. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, Police are directed to follow due process of law regarding the crime registered against the Petitioner, while issuing notice, by mentioning the crime number and the purpose of his presence before the Police etc. There shall be no order as to costs.
