The prayer in the petition is to issue a writ of mandamus directing respondent No.2 to consider the representation dated 02.06.2025 at Annexure-A given by the petitioner and to re-enter the name of the petitioner in the land records. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that 2 acres of land in Sy.No.81 of Kithaganur Village, - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:30247 WP No. 23347 of 2025 Bidarahalli Hobli, Bangalore East Taluk (Earlier Hosakote Taluk) was granted in favour of the petitioner in the year 1978. Pursuant to the grant, the name of the petitioner was entered in the land records in the year 1979 and it continued till the year 2000-2001. However, after computerization the name of the petitioner was not continued in the land records. Therefore, the petitioner has given a representation to the 2nd respondent – Tahasildar to re-enter the name of the petitioner in the land records. 4. Having regard to the grievance of the petitioner, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent – Tahasildar, Bangalore East Taluk to consider the representation dated 02.06.2025 at Annexure-A given by the petitioner. The Tahasildar shall verify from the records as to whether the grant was made in favour of the petitioner and whether his name was earlier entered in the land records. If it is found - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:30247 WP No. 23347 of 2025 that the statement made by the petitioner is correct, then the Tahasildar shall pass necessary orders to re-enter the name of the petitioner in the land records.
