12.08.2025 Court No.28 Sl.1 Ssi
Calcutta High Court
In the Circuit Bench at Port Blair
Appellate Side
CRM (A) 4 of 2023
In Re: - An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Suraksha Nagarik Sanhita, 2023.
And In the matter of: Shri Sanjoy Biswas ….Applicant/Petitioner.
Mr. K.M.B. Jayapal
…for the petitioner
Mr. Saibal Bapuli, Ld. APP
Mr. Bibaswan Bhattachrya
…for the State
Heard the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the petitioner and the State.
Perused the case diary.
Considering the incriminating materials available in the case diary including the statement made by the victim before the learned Magistrate, the injury report and the statements of witnesses, I do not consider that this is to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.
Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
