ORDER (ORAL)
Heard Mr. R. Kharkrang, learned counsel for the petitioner who has submitted that an appeal has been preferred by the petitioner herein against the judgment dated 08.05.2024 as well as the sentence dated 14.05.2024 passed by the learned Sessions Judge, West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai in Sessions Case No. 85 of 2013. However, while 2025:MLHC:167-DB

preferring such appeal a delay of 243 days has occurred due to the fact that the appellant could not muster the required resources to engage a counsel for preferring the said appeal.
It is prayed that the delay of 243 days may be condoned and the appeal may be admitted.
Mr. K. Khan, learned P.P assisted by Mr. S. Sengupta, learned Addl. P.P for the State respondent has no strong objection to the prayer made.
Accordingly, this Court on consideration of the submission and on being satisfied with the grounds stated therein, the delay in preferring the appeal is accordingly condoned.
Misc. Case stands disposed of.
