JUSTICE RAJESH RAI K) This contempt petition is initiated for the willful disobedience of the directions issued by the learned Single Judge in W.P.No.21557/2014 dated 03.06.2019, whereby the learned Single Judge has passed the following order, "9. It is learnt that petitioner is stated to have retired from service on 31.12.2010. Therefore, respondents are - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:35662-DB CCC No. 697 of 2024 hereby directed to restore the position of the petitioner to the post of General Manager after one year from the date of penalty and to calculate and disburse arrears of pay for the post of General Manager from the date of lapse of one year penalty. Further, if petitioner is entitled to difference of retrial benefit in the cadre of General Manager, even the same be calculated. Such calculation shall be made and amount shall be disbursed within a period of eight weeks from the date of this order along with interest @ 6%." 2. Learned counsel for the respondent submit that he filed compliance memo dated 28.10.2024 and issued a cheque to the complainant for sum of Rs.13,95,450/- bearing cheque No.546996 dated 10.10.2024 towards full and final settlement of eligible arrears of salary of the complainant. 3. Perused the affidavit and the endorsement dated 14.10.2024. 4. In that view of the matter, the contempt petition does not survive for further consideration. If the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:35662-DB CCC No. 697 of 2024 complainant is aggrieved by the endorsement he is at liberty to challenge the same. 5. Accordingly, the contempt petition is dropped. 6.
