Narendar C.J.) Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Deputy Advocate General for the State of Uttarakhand. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that both the petitioners belong to the different faith and are major and they are in live-in-relationship; that, after the threat dissipates and protection is granted, they would be moving forward for registration of their live-in-relationship under “The Uniform Civil Code of Uttarakhand, 2024”. 1 2025:UHC:3018-DB 3. The submission is placed on record. 4. Writ petition stands disposed of accordingly with the liberty to the petitioners to approach the concerned SHO, in the event of any threat perception. The Station House Officer, Police Station Pathri, District Haridwar is directed to assess the threat, if any, to the life and limb of the petitioners, and provide necessary protection, if it is found that there is a threat to the life and limb of the petitioners. The SHO is further directed to summon the private respondent, and such other persons, who are inimically placed towards live-in- relationship of the petitioners, and counsel them, in accordance with law. 5.
