It is the contention of the petitioners that they have filed applications in Form No.53 seeking regularisation of unauthorised occupation of the lands in the respective applications at Annexure-B series of Halekere Village, Belagodu Hobli, Sakaleshpura Taluk, Hassan District and the same have

HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:38099 WP No. 28549 of 2025 not been considered till date. The prayer in the writ petition is to consider the applications of the petitioners in Form No.53. 3. Having regard to the contentions raised in the writ petition and submission of the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court is of the considered opinion that respondent-Tahsildar was duty bound to place the applications filed by the petitioners before the ‘Committee for Regularization of Unauthorized Occupation’ and the Committee was also duty bound to consider these applications and pass necessary orders. 4. The writ petition stands disposed of with a specific direction to Tahsildar, Sakaleshpura Taluk, to verify from the records as to whether such applications filed by the petitioners are pending consideration. If it is found that such applications were indeed filed by the petitioners and the applications are yet to be considered, the Tahsildar is directed to place before respondent No.4-Committee, the applications along with his recommendation within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, respondent No.4-

HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:38099 WP No. 28549 of 2025 Committee shall consider the applications and pass necessary orders in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months thereafter and pass necessary orders.
