CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE R DEVDAS
ORAL ORDER
Learned Additional Government Advocate takes notice for respondent-Tahsildar, Channagiri Taluk. 2. It is the contention of the petitioner that she was granted with 2 acres and 10 guntas of land in Survey No. 100/7 of Kenchugaranahalli Village, Basavapatna-1 Hobli, Channagiri Taluk, Davanagere District, in the year 2018. It is contended that at Annexure-A is the information calling upon the petitioner to pay the kimmat and accordingly, the petitioner is said to have paid the kimmat and thereafter, a saguvali chit is issued in favour of the petitioner at Annexure-D. However, the name of the petitioner is not entered in the revenue records. The prayer in the petition is to direct the respondent Tahsildar to consider the representation dated 02.09.2023 given by the petitioner at Annexure-E and enter her name in the revenue records. 3. Having regard to the contentions raised by the petitioner, this Court is of the considered opinion that the respondent-Tahsildar is duty bound to consider the

representation and verify from the records as to whether such a grant was indeed made in favour of the petitioner. 4.
Consequently, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent-Tahsildar to verify from the records the facts regarding the grant said to have been made in favour of the petitioner in the presence of the petitioner. If it is found that such a grant was indeed made in favour of the petitioner and a Saguvali chit was already issued, then the Tahsildar shall proceed to enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Ordered accordingly. Learned Additional Government Advocate is permitted to file memo of appearance within a period of four weeks from today. Sd/-
