3. The petitioner is before this court seeking for the following reliefs: i. Issue writ in the nature of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to delete the name of petitioner divorced wife Kimhoithem Kipgen in name of spouse colum and incorporate the present address of the petitioner in the passport bearing No.W2772098, file No.BN1064380758522 and consequently direct the 1st respondent to reissue the passport, in the interest of justice and equity. ii. Pass such other order or direction as this Hon'ble Court deems fit on the fact and circumstances of the case in the interest of justice and equity.

The grievance of the petitioner is that the application which had been filed by the petitioner for modification of the address and deletion of his divorced wife's name from the spouses column has not been considered and in that background the aforesaid reliefs have been sought for in the present petition.
5. Smt. Reshma Thammaiah,
learned counsel for respondent no.1, would submit that after the full validity passport had been issued to the petitioner, the petitioner being involved in a crime had been charge-sheeted and the full validity of the passport could not be issued. A temporary validity/short validity passport could be issued

by taking into consideration the request which has been made by the petitioner in terms of the application for modification which has been filed within a period of two weeks from today.
6. The said submission answers the grievance of the petitioner.
7. Placing the said submission, the writ petition stands
