The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the 4th respondent -Corporation has entrusted the work viz., Supply and Delivery of 1.5 HP x 25 stage submersible Pump Set and Cistern with mini water tank at Methar Masjid and opposite Ambhabhavani temple under GGMP funds under agreement No.221/2023-24, dt.20.01.2024, to the petitioner. 2. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner duly executed the works undertaken by him and thereafter submitted final bills to a sum of Rs.6,37,358/-. It is submitted that the final bills were duly endorsed by the competent authority and the progress of the work was recorded in the M-book. However, in spite of the completion of all procedural formalities, no payment was made to the petitioner. 3. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration & Urban Development, the learned Standing Counsel for the Corporation and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning. 4. During the course of hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Corporation does not dispute the submissions made by the petitioner with respect to the completion of the work undertaken. 3 W.P. Considering the submissions, respondents 2 and 4 are hereby directed to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.
