Heard Sri Umesh Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State. The petitioner has been working as Sahayak Kurk Ameen. The petitioner claims that he is entitled for arrears of salary from the month of October 2021 to September 2023 alongwith interest. The petitioner has made a representation in this regard which has not been decided till date. The only prayer made by Sri Umesh Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner is that the representation of the petitioner for arrears of salary from the month of October 2021 to September 2023 alongwith interest be decided within a stipulated period of time. Learned Standing Counsel submits that the matter requires determination of facts by the competent authority as per law by the competent authority in the first instance. He however fairly submits that the claim of the petitioner regarding arrears of salary from the month of October 2021 to September 2023 alongwith interest be decided in an expeditious time frame. In the wake of submissions made by the parties, and without going into the merits of the case, interest of justice will be served by directing the respondent no. 4, Assistant Commissioner & Assistant Registrar, Varanasi to execute the following directions: I. The respondent no. 4, Assistant Commissioner & Assistant Registrar, Varanasi, shall decide the representation of the petitioner for arrears of salary from the month of October 2021 to September 2023 alongwith interest as per law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order along with a fresh copy of the representation.
