Baghel, learned Deputy Government Advocate for the applicants / State. 2. This Court, vide order dated 16.04.2024, disposed of the WPS No. 839/2020 (Ashish Agnihotri and others vs. State of Chhattisgarh and Others), as well as bunch of petitions directing the State Government to rework / re-frame the subject Promotion Rules and to notify the same within period of three months from the date of receiving a copy of the order. 3. Mr. S.S. Baghel, learned Deputy Government Advocate for the applicants / State states that despite making best efforts, as the entire exercise requires collection of empirical data and then re-frame the rules, collecting of data is a time taking task in the light of the fact that no census has taken place for the year 2021, as such, order dated 16.04.2024, passed in WPS No. 839/2020 along with bunch of petitions by this Court, could not be complied within the prescribed time of three 3 months granted to the applicants. Hence, this application for extension of time, praying for a further period of 3 months for reworking / re- framing the subject Promotion Rules. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the applicants and perused the documents appended in this application. 5. Perusal of the records goes to show that a sufficient period of three months was already granted to the learned counsel for the applicants for reworking / re-framing the subject Promotion Rules while disposing of the WPS No. 839/2020 along with a bunch of petitions vide order dated 16.04.2024. However, considering the submissions advanced by learned counsel for the applicants, it is directed that the applicants shall rework / re-frame the subject Promotion Rules within a period of one month from today. It is made clear that no more time shall be granted to the applicants / State Government for the said purpose. 6. In view of the above, the instant MCC is disposed of.
