S. No. 36
HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU
Case No. :- SWP No. 314/2013
Sheela Devi And Anr. …..Petitioner(s)/Appellant(s)
Through: None
Vs
State & Ors. .…. Respondent(s)
Through: Mr. Raman Sharma, AAG
Coram:
HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE WASIM SADIQ NARGAL, JUDGE
ORDER 25.02.2025
The record reveals that the notice in the instant petition was issued way back on 18th of February, 2013 and the instant petition has come up before this court after 12 years. During this intervening period there was no effort on behalf of the petitioners to get the instant petition listed. At this stage, an inference can be drawn that the petitioners have lost interest in prosecuting the instant petition any further. Even otherwise too, in light of the stand taken by the respondents in their objections that the private respondents, who have been engaged are more meritorious than the petitioners and they have rightly been engaged as Female Multipurpose Health Workers. Thus, in the light of the stand taken by the respondents and also in the light of the fact that there is no representation on behalf of the petitioners, the instant petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous. Interim direction, if any, shall stand vacated.
