Heard the counsel for the parties. The present petition has been filed for the following relief:- "i. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent No. 2 & 5 to release the admitted payment against the Bil dated 22.06.2024 (Annexure No.4) & 09.09.2024 (Annexure No.10) of Rs.4,50,000/- and Rs.26,68,000/- respectively along with 7% interest per annum in favour of the petitioner in time bound manner as deem fit and appropriate by this Hon'ble Court." Sri Shyam Mani Shukla, Advocate representing the Municipal Corporation, Agra and its officers arrayed as respondent nos. 2 to 5 in the writ petition states that the amount claimed by the petitioner except Rs.9,00,000/- has been paid to him. It is stated that only Rs.9,00,000/- is due to the petitioner at present and the amount shall be disbursed and credited in the account of the petitioner today by 04:00 p.m. It would serve no useful purpose to keep the writ petition pending.
