GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... to pass an appropriate order or writ of Mandamus to declare the delay and inaction on the part of the Respondent No.2 to 5 in considering and disposing of the representations dated 28.07.2025 and 13.08.2025 submitted by the Petitioner for 2 initiating the disciplinary action against the Respondent No.6 and 7 as Arbitrary, Illegal and consequently direct the Respondent No. 2 to 5 to consider and dispose of representations dated 28.07.2025 and 13.08.2025 submitted by the Petitioner and initiate disciplinary action against the Respondent No.6 and 7.” 2. Heard Sri Sazid Kallur, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Md.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that, based on the complaints made by the petitioner, five crimes have been registered. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would further submit that two crimes have also been registered against the petitioner. The husband of the petitioner is a journalist, and they are not cooperating with the investigation. The present petition has been filed to overcome the investigation process by making allegations against the police officers, seeking action against them. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that unless they filed a complaint against the police officer, no case was registered against any wrongful dowers. After filing the complaint, the petitioner was threatened by the police. Therefore, it is prayed that a direction be issued to consider their representation. 5. In the light of the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, the respondent No.5 is directed to look into the representation of the petitioner and take appropriate decision over the matter according to governing Rules and Law.
