Present petition has been filed with the following prayers: "(a) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned order dated 28.2.2025, passed by respondent no. 3, in Case No. 40 of 2025 (State versus Shiv Dayal), Uttar Pradesh Control of Goondas Act, 1970, P.S. Chaubepur, District Kanpur Nagar. (b) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent nos. 3 to 5 not to take any action against the petitioner, in pursuance of the impugned order dated 28.2.2025, till the disposal of appeal, pending in the Court of Commissioner, Kanpur Mandal and also direct him to expedite/decide the appeal at an early date, within stipulated period of time." 3. In the facts and circumstances of this case, present petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 2-Commissioner, Kanpur Region, Kanpur to hear and decide the said appeal of the petitioner, in accordance with law by reasoned and speaking order, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of filing of a certified copy of this order before the respondent no. 2. 4.
