:: ORDER ::
The above contempt case has been filed complaining of the violation of the order dated 17.09.2024, passed in W.P.No.20164 of 2024. 2. Heard learned counsel appearing on either side. 3. The petitioners filed the aforementioned writ petition to declare the action of the respondent authorities in not regularising the services of the petitioners, despite the policy of the Government as enumerated under the Andhra Pradesh Regularisation of Services of Contract Employees Act, 2023, as illegal and arbitrary. 4. An interim order was granted by this Court on 17.09.2024.
The operative portion of said order reads as follows:
“Given the facts and circumstances of the case, learned respondent No.1 shall consider the report said to have been submitted by respondent No.3, if any, regarding the regularization of the petitioners, as per Rules.”
5. In the affidavit filed in support of the contempt case, it was pleaded that a speaking order was passed by the authority in violating the order dated
27.08.2024. 6. A reply-affidavit has been filed by the respondent. Along with the reply, the proceedings vide Memo No.2668850/IE-A1/2024-1, dated 24.02.2025, have been annexed. A perusal of said proceedings would indicate that the respondent has passed a speaking order on 24.02.2025. Page 4 of 5
7. Since a speaking order has been passed by the authority on 24.02.2025, this Court does not find any violation of the order dated 17.09.2024, passed in W.P.No.20164 of 2024, and the contempt case is liable to be dismissed. 8. Given the facts and circumstances of the case, the Contempt Case is dismissed. However, it is open to the petitioners to challenge the aforementioned speaking order before the appropriate forum, if aggrieved. No order as to costs. As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. ___________________________ JUSTICE SUBBA REDDY SATTI Date: 28.11.2025 TVN
