JUSTICE B M SHYAM PRASAD ORAL ORDER The petitioner is sentenced for rigorous life imprisonment in Special Case No. 220 of 2016, and the petitioner’s application is rejected by the third respondent with the impugned Endorsement dated 10.02.2025 essentially on the ground that the petitioner is admitted to parole in the recent past. Sri Thejas, the learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the petitioner was granted parole on 05.08.2024 for 30 days and he has returned to prison without any reason for complaint and that as such the petitioner's application which is beyond six months from the date of return could not have been rejected on such ground. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:35472 WP No. 17501 of 2025 This Court must observe that in terms of the Karnataka Prisons and Correctional Services Manual - 2021 [for short, the 'Manual'], the second respondent will have to consider the request in the light of the purpose for which parole is requested taking note of all facts and circumstances.
