1. This is an o昀케ce reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 14.02.2024 passed in MCRC No. 8111 of 2023, while allowing the bail to the applicants, namely, Sushant Mahanand and Devanand Harijan, had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN
2 in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of passing of the order, if there was no legal impediment.
3. Earlier on two occasions also, this Court had granted extension of time for compliance of the order dated 14.02.2024.
4. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Saraipali District- Mahasamund (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 01.12.2025 has requested for grant of four months time for concluding the trial.
5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that it is most respectfully submitted that in the present case, the evidence of 02 prosecution witnesses have already been recorded. After securing the presence of the accused persons, the evidence of the remaining 09 witnesses shall be recorded and thereafter the case shall be expeditiously concluded after recording the statement of the accused, defence evidence, and 昀椀nal
arguments. Therefore, it is humbly prayed that this application be allowed and an additional period of four months be graciously granted.
6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is
directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today.
7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed o昀昀 with the aforesaid direction.
8. Registry is directed to send a certi昀椀ed copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/- (Ramesh Sinha)
