The Govt of A.P. and Others ...Respondent(s) ********** Advocate for Petitioner: G V SHIVAJI Advocate(s) for Respondent(s): GP FOR ENVIRONMENT, K SITA RAM, GP FOR SERVICES II CORAM : SRI JUSTICE CHALLA GUNARANJAN DATE : 6th November 2025 ORDER: Learned counsel for petitioner submits that the writ petition was filed questioning the action of 2nd respondent in appointing 3rd respondent as Administrative Manager on deputation by proceedings dated 22.02.2001 contrary to the rules and also G.O.Ms.No.180, dated 16.12.1996 and consequently to set aside the same and direct the 2nd respondent to promote petitioner, who 2 CGR, J W.P. No.23765 of 2002 was in-service eligible candidate for the post of administrative manager. 2. When writ petition was instituted, petitioner was aged 44 years and by now, he has attained the age of superannuation. It is also stated that though petitioner by way of interim measure has sought for direction from this Court to consider the case of petitioner to be posted as Administrative Manager by repatriating 3rd respondent, no such interim order was passed. Learned counsel also submits that the petitioner is not in contact with them and by afflux of time that as he retired, no instructions have been provided to proceed with the matter. 3. From the record, it appears petitioner has attained age of superannuation, therefore, this Court feels that cause in the writ petition no more survives for adjudication. 4. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
