This contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging deliberate and willful contempt of the interim order dated 22.08.2022 passed by Division Bench of this Court in WPSB No. 188 of 2021, Poonam Bhatt vs. State of Uttarakhand, whereby the State Counsel was directed to maintain status quo with regard to process of promotion on the post of Chief Pharmacist. 4. Mr. Devesh Ghildiyal, learned counsel appearing for respondent no.2, has passed on a letter dated 14.01.2026 to this Court, which is taken on record. On the basis of the said letter, it is submitted by him that the respondent has decided not to proceed with the promotion exercise, thus, the interim order passed by the Division Bench of this Court has been complied with. 5.
