This petition purportedly in public interest has been filed by the petitioner inter-alia seeking direction to respondent no. 2 not to give work order to respondent no. 3 for door to door meter reading, spot bill generation, bill distribution and bill collection in Cluster 6 and 14. 2. A perusal of the petition reveals that petitioner except for indicating that he is a resident of - Kanpur Nagar, has not indicated his credentials. The affidavit sworn by his friend indicates his occupation as labourer and the petition has been filed by putting his thumb impression. 3. A query was put as to from where the petitioner has obtained the documents, counsel for the petitioner is unable to indicate the source of the documents. Apparently, the petitioner has been set up by a rival tenderer. 4. Filing of Public Interest Litigation with motives other than public interest cannot be countenanced. The petition is, therefore, dismissed. The petitioner is warned and the counsel is advised to take care in future.
