GP FOR HOME 3 THE HONOURABLE DR JUSTICE VENKATA JYOTHIRMAI PRATAPA WRIT PETITION NO: 32743 of 2025 ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “…to issue a Writ, order or direction, especially one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus of issue directions/instructions to the respondent Nos. 1 to 6, to initiate appropriate action against the accused 1 to 5 in Cr.No. 137/2025 of Elamcnhili P.S. of West Godavari District U/s 109(1) r/w 3(5) of BNS and pass.…” 2. Heard Sri Saraschandra Babu Jakkamsetty, learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Sri V.Farook, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home on behalf of the State. 3. As can be seen from the record, the crime has been registered on 12.09.2025. Even as per the Section 193(3)(ii)(iii) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS), the Investigating Officer shall inform the progress of the case to the defacto complainant within a period of three (3) months. 4. In that view of the matter, since the Investigating Officer is obligated to inform the progress of the crime to the informant, as mandated under Section193(3)(ii)(iii) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS), the Petitioner being the injured victim, is at liberty to approach the Investigating Officer and assist the investigation and furnish any material which is lying with him for effecting speedy and expeditious conclusion of the investigation. 4 5. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
