The present writ petition is filed aggrieved by the inaction of Respondent No. 3 in not taking any steps to dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner on 14.08.2025 against the order of the 4th respondent vide R.C. A/148/2024 dated 16.07.2025, wherein the petitioner seeks mutation of the name of his mother, Smt. Yelisetty Ramamma, being the legal heir of his deceased father. The said appeal remains pending before the 3rd respondent, which is alleged to be illegal and in violation of Section 5(4) of the Andhra Pradesh Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Book Act, 1971. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner preferred the appeal before the RDO/3rd respondent, but the same has neither been considered nor disposed of till date. 3. On perusal of the appeal, it is observed that the appeal was filed on 14.08.2025, that is, merely two months prior to the institution of the writ petition. In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to enter into the merits of the case at this stage. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider and to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four (04) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
