In view of the communication made to the Commissioner of Police, Siliguri Police Commissionerate on 03.12.2024 wherein the present petitioner has expressed the harassive and abusive action in respect of certain police personnel associated with Matigara Police Station as well as some civic volunteers associated with the said police station, I direct the Commissioner of Police, Siliguri Police Commissionerate, the respondent no.2 to enquire and take appropriate steps, if any, in respect of the accusations so made by the petitioner. The Commissioner of Police will independently apply his mind after enquiry and arrive at his finding without 2 being influenced by any observations made by this Court. In case the Commissioner of Police, Siliguri Police Commissionerate comes to a conclusion that there have been certain untoward incidents or there is genuinity in the accusations, he would accordingly take suitable steps. The outcome of such enquiry be communicated to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 2676 of 2024 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
