1. This is an o昀케ce reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 29.09.2023 passed in MCRC No. 6374 of 2023, while rejecting the bail to the applicant, namely, Pankaj Sahu and Ashish Kumar had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN
2 date of receipt of a certi昀椀ed copy of the order, if there was no legal impediment.
3. Earlier on three occasions also this Court had granted extension of time for compliance of the order dated 29.09.2023.
4. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Raigarh District-Raigarh (C.G.) vide her request letter dated 01.10.2025 has requested for grant of three months additional time for concluding the trial.
5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that the case is presently at the stage of prosecution evidence. Out of a total of nine witnesses, the statements of six witnesses are yet to be recorded. As the witnesses belong to another district, the summons could not be duly served. Summons to the witnesses are being issued through the Superintendent of Police. Therefore, for the proper and 昀椀nal disposal of the case, an additional period of three months is required.
6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is
directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of three months from today.
7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed o昀昀 with the aforesaid direction.
8. Registry is directed to send a certi昀椀ed copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/- (Ramesh Sinha)
