Order:-
The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the wife of the contractor, who had completed the work, i.e., providing C.C. road from Maddisetty Krishna’s house to Amrutha Water Plant in Samatha Nagar Main Road, in Division No.39, vide Agreement No.267/2023-2024, dated 04.08.2023, entrusted by the 5th respondent.
2. It is further submitted that the petitioner’s husband passed away on 18.12.2024, and during his lifetime, the competent authority had conducted audit inspections and approved the bills. The 5th respondent had also approved payment due to the petitioner’s husband. However, the said amount has not been released till date, and in the meantime, the contractor expired on
18.12.2024.
3. It is stated that the petitioner shall submit a copy of the family member certificate issued by the Gram/Ward Sachivalayam to the office of the 5th respondent for claiming the said amount.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration Department, Sri A.S.C. Bose, the learned Standing Counsel for the Corporation, and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning.
4. During the course of hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Corporation does not dispute the submissions made by the petitioner with

respect to the completion of the work undertaken and that the non-payment of bills is due to paucity of funds.
5. Considering the submissions, the concerned respondents are hereby
directed to verify and release the payments as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
7. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
