The prayer for bail in this case arises out of an order dated 8th July, 2024 passed by the learned Special Judge, (under NDPS Act,2012), Siliguri in connection with Special (P) Case No. 40 of 2023, rejecting the prayer for bail of the petitioner. 2. The case of the petitioner is that he is in custody for a long period (since 21.5.2023). 3. The case was pending for DNA report which has been placed today by the learned Public Prosecutor. Let the same be kept with the case diary. 4. The victim in the present case is aged about 13 years and the accused aged 50 years. 5. Considering the nature of offence alleged, and the materials on record including the medical report and the statement under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code, the prayer for bail of the petitioner Kartick Roy stands rejected at this stage. 2 5.Investigating Officer is directed to complete the investigation at the earliest considering that the DNA report has been received and the trial Court is directed to proceed with the trial expeditiously. 6.
