Th writ petition seeks the following reliefs:- "(i) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of certiorari to quash the impugned demand notice dated 07.01.2025 issued by the respondent no.2. (ii) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding/directing the respondent no.2 to no coercive action against the petitioner." Initially the demand notice dated 30.04.2025 was issued to the petitioner demanding a sum of Rs.1,45,436/- as arrears of house tax etc. In pursuance of this notice a sum of Rs.40,000/- was allegedly deposited by the petitioner. A fresh demand notice has been issued on 07.01.2025 for a sum of Rs.1,46,616/-. In pursuance thereof the petitioner is alleged to have deposited a sum of Rs.48,000/-. Counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner is prepared to deposit the balance but the amount already deposited should be adjusted. Sri Pankaj Srivastava who appears for the respondent has no objection. Under the circumstances, the petition is disposed of with the direction that the respondent authority may adjust the amount already deposited by the petitioner against the demand notices issued to him and to issue a fresh bills to the petitioner for the petitioner, within a period of two weeks.
