ORDER:
The present Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India seeking the following relief:
“…to issue an order, direction, writ, more particularly Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the Respondents in not considering representations dated 29.08.2024, 02.09.2024 submitted by the petitioners to return the lands of the petitioners in Sy.No.437/2A of Gundavolu Village, Rapur Mandal, SPSR Nellore District to an extent of Ac.5-64 cents and Ac. 1-88 cents which was acquired for SSLC canal under Telugu Ganga Project wherein the said project was cancelled by the Government vide Memo No.MJIR/236/2019-Projects-ll-1, dated 11.09.2019, as illegal, arbitrary and violation of Article 300-A of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the Respondents return the lands of the petitioners to an extent of Ac.5-64 cents, Ac.1-88 cents in Sy.No.437/2A of Gundavolu Village, Rapur Mandal, SPSR Nellore by considering the representations of the petitioners dated 29.08.2024, 02.09.2024.…”
2. The 1st petitioner is the owner of the land in Sy.No.437/2A to an extent of Ac.5-64 cents. After the death of the 2nd petitioner on 22.04.2022, the petitioners No.3 to 6, who are the legal heirs of the 2nd petitioner, became the owners of the land in Sy.No.437/2A to an extent of Ac.1-88 cents of Gundavolu Village, Rapur Mandal, SPSR Nellore District. The said lands were acquired for the SSLC canal under the ‘Telugu Ganga Project’ and a consent award was passed vide Award No.8/2010-2011, dated 14.10.2010.
3. The case of the petitioners is that, since 2010, the Government has not initiated any steps for excavation of the SSLC Canal under the ‘Telugu Ganga Project’ and the land has been lying ideal. As such, the petitioners submitted representations to the 2nd respondent on 29.08.2024 and 02.09.2024 requesting to return the said acquired lands for the SSLC Canal, as the said

project was subsequently cancelled by the Government vide Memo No.MJIR/236/2019-Projects-II-1, dated 11.09.2019.
4. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Government Pleaders for Revenue and Irrigation.
5. As the request made by the petitioners is restricted only to the
consideration of the representations dated 29.08.2024 and 02.09.2024 submitted to the 2nd respondent, without going into the merits of the case, this Court feels it appropriate to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the said representations and pass appropriate orders, duly taking into account Memo No.MJIR/236/2019-Projects-II-1, dated 11.09.2019, in accordance with law, within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this
order.
