This is a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the petitioners have sought a direction to the respondent No. 2, the Managing Director Service, U.P. State Agro Industrial Corporation Ltd. at Lucknow to refund the amount of security money being to the tune of Rs.1,17,915/- with interest @ 10% p.a. to the petitioner No. 1, namely, Satyendra Kumar Verma and Rs. 2,84,353/- with interest @ 10% p.a. to the petitioner No. 2, namely, Rajgirihi Yadav. It is stated that the petitioners have already filed a application/representation dated 23.04.2024, for the purpose and the same finds place at page 12 in the writ petition. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent states that the General Manager (Services), U.P. State Agro Industrial Corporation Ltd. has the authority to redress the grievance of the petitioners. Accordingly, the concerned authority of the U.P. State Agro Industrial Corporation Ltd. is directed to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 23.04.2024 and decide the same in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from date, after affording proper opportunity of hearing to the petitioners. We make it clear that if the payment of the security money has been delayed for no fault of the petitioner, the interest at the rate of 4% p.a., shall be paid to the petitioners along with the security deposit.
