1. Heard Mr. S.S. Baghel, learned Deputy Government Advocate for the petitioners/State.
2. This Court, vide order dated 16.04.2024, disposed off the WA No.286 of 2021 (Kirti Kumar Rathia & Others vs. State of Chhattisgarh & Others), as well as bunch of petitions directing the State Government to rework/re-frame the subject Promotion Rules and to notify the same within a period of three months from the date of receiving a copy of the order.

3. Learned State counsel submits that despite making best efforts, as the entire exercise requires collection of empirical data and then re-frame the Rules, collecting of data is a time taking task in the light of the fact that no census has taken place for the year 2021, as such, order dated 16.04.2024, passed in WA No. 286 of 2021 along with bunch of petitions by this Court, could not be complied within the prescribed time of three months granted to the petitioners. Hence, the present MCC filed for extension of time, praying for a further period of three months for reworking/re-frame the subject Promotion Rules.
4. We have heard learned counsel for the petitioners and perused the documents appended in this petition.
5. Perusal of the records goes to show that a sufÏcient period of three months was already been granted to the State for reworking/re-framing the subject Promotion Rules while disposing of the WA No. 286 of 2021 along with a bunch of petitions vide order dated 16.04.2024. However, considering the submissions advanced by the learned State counsel, it is
directed that the State shall rework/re-frame the subject Promotion Rules within a period of one month from today. It is made clear that no more time shall be granted to the State for the said purpose.
6. In view of the above, the present MCC is disposed off.
