Dr. P.Agarwal, learned counsel for the petitioner at the outset has submitted that the writ petitioner is before this Court with a limited prayer, that is for directions to issue to the respondent authorities to dispose of the application dated 28-11-2023 for cancellation of the mutation issued in favour of Smt. Nilima Borgohain and Smt. Rimjhim Borgohain. 2. She further submits that the said two persons have not been impleaded in the instant writ petition as the prayer is directed only against the State respondents. 3. Mrs. T.Yangi B, learned AAG assisted by Mr. E.R.Chyne, learned GA appearing on behalf of the State respondents submits that as the process is still on before the respondent No. 2, she has no objection if this writ petition is disposed of at this stage directing the respondent No. 2 to dispose of the said application. 4. Having heard learned counsel for the parties, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent No. 2 to dispose of the said application most expeditiously in accordance with law. It is expected that the entire exercise should be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of this order. 2025:MLHC:170 3 5. Writ petition accordingly stands closed and disposed of.
