... for the petitioner. Adv. Bibhashan Bhattacharya, Adv. Arka Chakraborty, Adv. Subrata Bhattacharya, Adv. Gayetri Bhattacharya, …for the de facto complainant. Adv. Ujjwal Luksom (through VC), Adv. Dhiman Sil,
... for the State.
The petitioner is in custody for about thirty days and prays for bail. Learned counsels for the State and the de facto complainant oppose the prayer. I have considered the material on record. The petitioner was entrusted with the management of two partnership firms in view of serious illness of the defacto complainant’s husband. Taking advantage of the same, the petitioner appears to have misappropriated more than Rs.2 crores from the companies. Investigation is at a very nascent stage. Material available in the Case Diary implicates the petitioner. In view of the above, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.
2 The application for bail is disposed of. Case Diary be returned. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
