This petition has been filed with the following reliefs:
“10.1 Declare the oral blacklisting of the Petitioner’s rice mill as arbitrary, illegal and void ab initio, and further direct the Respondents to allow the petitioner to supply the requisite quantity of rice; 10.2 Restrain the Respondents from invoking the Bank Guarantee amounting to Rs.50,00,000/- submitted by the Petitioner, in view of the circumstances beyond the Petitioner’s control which led to the delay in supply; 10.3 Direct the Respondents to permit the Petitioner to supply the remaining stock of rice i.e., 1461.66 quintals within such reasonable time as may be fixed by this Hon’ble Court; 10.4 Quash the show cause notice dated 28.03.2025 issued by the District Collector, Janjgir-Champa under
3 Section 4(3), 4(5), and 12 of the Chhattisgarh Rice Custom Milling Order, 2016 and Sections 3 and 7 of the Essential Commodities At, 1955 10.5 Pass any other writ, order or direction as may be deemed just and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case, including the costs of the petition, in the interest of justice.”
2. In light of the circular dated 30.4.2025 issued by the Government of Chhattisgarh, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department, Nawa Raipur, at this stage, the present writ petition has become infructuous. The petition is dismissed as infructuous, however, the petitioner as well as the respondents are at liberty to file appropriate proceedings, if any, at appropriate stage. Sd/-
