147 IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH CRWP-4578-2025 DECIDED ON: 05.05.2025 JASWINDER SINGH AND ANOTHER .....PETITIONERS VERSUS STATE OF PUNJAB AND OTHERS .....RESPONDENTS CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SANDEEP MOUDGIL Present: Mr. Ashish Kumar, Advocate for Mr. Sarvesh Kumar Gupta, Advocate for the petitioners. Mr. Jasjit Singh Rattu, DAG Punjab. SANDEEP MOUDGIL, J (ORAL) The jurisdiction of this Court has been invoked under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for directing the official respondents no.1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of respondent no.4, as the petitioners are living in live-in-relationship. Learned State counsel submits that a speaking order dated 04.05.2025 has been passed on the representation submitted of the petitioners. A copy of same has been placed on record as Mark A. Perusal of the speaking order shows that the petitioner No.2 in her statement has stated that she is residing happily with her husband Jaswinder Singh at Kishanpura Chowk, Jalandhar, and no longer requires police protection as there is no threat from any individual. In the light of above, the present petition has been rendered infructuous. Disposed off, accordingly.
