Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents. 2. The petitioner is claiming the benefits of third MACP and consequential revision of his pension and other retirement benefits. 3. Counsel for the petitioner submitted that a direction be given to the respondents i.e. Superintendent of Police, Lohardaga, to consider the case of the petitioner or to place case of the petitioner before the appropriate committee for taking decision in this matter. 4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State and Accountant General does not oppose. 5. Considering the said submission, I direct the Superintendent of Police, Lohardaga to consider the case of the petitioner and to place the case of the petitioner before the appropriate authority for grant of MACP. The authority will consider the case as per law and if it is found that the petitioner is legally entitled, the benefits to be granted to thepetitioner and appropriate order be passed. It may also be seen that the consequential benefits is extended to the petitioner. 6. If it is decided that the petitioner is not entitled for payment of benefits, the reasons for rejecting the claim should also be communicated to the petitioner. 7. This entire process should be concluded within sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order . 8. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed off. (ANANDA SEN, J.) Abha/-
