-2- 06.05.2025 1) The petitioner has filed the present petition challenging the order dated 29.08.2019 (Annexure P-10) passed by the respondent No.3/Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue), Abhanpur, Raipur, cum prescribed authority under the Chhattisgarh Panchayat Raj Adhiniyam, 1993 whereby the petitioner along with other office bearers were removed. 2) The petitioner challenged the aforesaid order by filing the present petition, and an interim order was granted in his favor during the pendency of the proceedings. 3) From a perusal of the order passed by the prescribed authority, it is evident that the petitioner, who was serving as Up-Sarpanch, was removed for a period of five years from the date of the order, i.e., 29.08.2019. Since the specified period of removal has already lapsed; thus, the instant writ petition has become infructuous. 4) In view of the above, the petition has become infructuous and is accordingly dismissed. However, the petitioner would be at liberty to revive his prayer if cause of action survives. Sd/-
