GP MUNCIPAL ADMN AND URBAN DEV AP The Court made the following: 3 Order:- The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondent municipality in mutating the name of the 2nd petitioner in the municipal records. The 2nd petitioner was issued a sale certificate by the 1st petitioner for the property purchased by the 2nd petitioner. The 1st petitioner put the residential property to auction, and a sale certificate dated 09.01.2025 was issued in favour of the 2nd petitioner. It is submitted that the 2nd respondent is not entertaining the application for mutating the name of the 2nd petitioner in the municipal records for the purpose of levying taxes. 2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent submits that the 1st petitioner has submitted an application on behalf of the 2nd petitioner. It is further submitted that the purchaser of the property has to submit an application along with the required documents, i.e., a copy of the sale certificate and any other documents relating to the property, and on payment of the requisite fee, the 2nd respondent would consider the application submitted by the 2nd petitioner. 3. Recording the submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed off, permitting the 2nd petitioner to submit a fresh application seeking mutation of his name in the municipal records for the purpose of levying taxes, along with a copy of the sale certificate. The 2nd respondent, on receipt of such application, shall consider the same and mutate the name of the 2nd petitioner, subject to 4 verification of the relevant documents and payment of the requisite fee.
