THIS WRIT PETITION IS FILED UNDER ARTICLE 227 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA IS PRAYING TO ISSUE A WRIT OF MANDAMUS DIRECTING THE RESPONDENTS TO CONSIDER PETITIONER S CLAIM OF THE PETITIONER TO CONTINUE HER AS LECTURER IN POLITICAL SCIENCE SUBJECT IN 3RD RESPONDENT COLLEGE TILL THE REGULAR APPOINTMENT OF LECTURER IN POLITICAL SCIENCE IS MADE AND PASS APPROPRIATE ORDERS BY ALLOWING THIS WRIT PETITION IN THE INTEREST OF JUSTICE AND
THIS WRIT PETITION, COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER:
ORAL ORDER

1. The petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: a. “Issue a writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to consider Petitioner s claim of the petitioner to continue her as lecturer in Political Science subject in 3rd Respondent college till the regular appointment of lecturer in Political Science is made and pass appropriate orders by allowing this writ petition in the interest of justice and b. Grant such other or further relief as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit in the circumstances including costs.”
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that, despite rendering continuous service as a Guest Teacher for many years, his services have not been continued by the respondents. It is submitted that if his service were continued, the process of

conducting fresh interviews for the very same posts would become redundant. 3.
There appears to be substance in the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner. In the given circumstances, the petitioner ought to have been continued in service as a Guest Teacher, so long as he satisfies all other requirements, and until a lawful process is undertaken by the respondents regarding engagement of Guest Teachers. 4. In light of the above observations, the following order is passed:
ORDER i) The writ petition is allowed. ii) Respondents are directed to continue the services of the petitioner as Guest Teacher until a final decision is taken in accordance with law regarding continuation or disengagement of Guest Teachers for the current academic year. iii) The respondents are further directed to consider the case of the petitioner for continuation of service,

subject to his eligibility and satisfaction of all prescribed norms, before initiating any fresh process of recruitment to the said posts. iv) All pending interlocutory applications, if any, stand
disposed of.
