This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents for non-payment of the bills for the works undertaken by the petitioner. 2. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning, and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-Corporation. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has executed the works, viz., (i) construction of CC drain at D.No.8-13- 9/18 to 8-13-9/22, upgradation of CC roads at D.No.7-1-1 to 7-1-9 and 7-1-1 to 8-20-26 and CC culverts at Pratapnagar road Durgadevi temple in 41B secretariat area in 41st division, vide agreement No.76/2023-24, dt.30.09.2023; (ii) providing RCC drain at D.No.7-3-23 to 7-8-8 and upgradation of CC roads at D.No.7-6-7 to 7-6-18/2 and D.No.7-7-26 to 7-7-24 in 40A secretariat area in 40th division, vide agreement No.78/EE1/2023-24, dt.30.09.2023 , as entrusted by the 2nd respondent. 4. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner duly executed the works to the satisfaction of the 2nd respondent. It is further -3- W.P. No.28449 OF 2025 Date of order: 15.10.2025 submitted that after execution of the works, the competent authority recorded the progress of the work in M Books and thereafter the petitioner has submitted respective final bills aggregating to a sum of Rs.27,42,280/- and the same was approved by the 2nd respondent, but so far no payment has been made to the petitioner. 5. In reply, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent submits that there is no dispute with respect to the completion of the works undertaken by the petitioner and that the bills were forwarded to the 4th respondent and awaits for approval. 6. Considering the submissions, respondents 2 and 4 are hereby directed to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 8. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. ___________________ JUSTICE HARINATH.N BV
