By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has prayed for following reliefs: "I. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.2 to add the service period of Army in the present service of the petitioner in the U.P. Police Department." 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the above regard letter has been sent to the Finance Controller on 25.06.2020 but the same has remained pending consideration till date at the level of the Finance Controller himself. It is further submitted that in the above regard petitioner has also represented the matter before the competent authority on 17.04.2023. 4. Learned Standing counsel has no objection in case if petitioner's representation is directed to be decided by the concerned competent respondent in a time bound period and in accordance with law. 5. In view of the above, this petition stands disposed of with direction to the respondent no.5 to look into and consider the claim of the petitioner as raised in his representation dated 17.04.2023 and decide the same as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of one month from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
