This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for:
“…to issue a Writ or Direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the high handed action of the Respondents in harassing the Petitioner by not allowing to do canvassing for the ongoing IV phase Gram Panchayat Elections under the guise of the proceeding of 5th Respondent vide C.No.12/SDPO THLR/2019 dated 18.12.2019 as illegal, arbitrary, colorable exercise of power, violation of Articles 14, 21 and 243 of The Constitution of India and consequently direct the Respondents 4 to 6 not to harass the Petitioner by calling to the Police station or otherwise till completion of the IV Phase of Gram Panchayat election on 21.02.2021…”

This petition is filed seeking a direction to the police not to harass the petitioner by calling him to the police station till completion of the IV phase Gram Panchayat Elections on 21.02.2021. 4. Sri V.Farook, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home for respondents would submit that the petition may be disposed of since the relief has become infructuous. 4. Recording the above said submission, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
