GP FOR HOME 3 THE HONOURABLE DR JUSTICE VENKATA JYOTHIRMAI PRATAPA WRIT PETITION NO: 17663 of 2021 ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “…pleased to issue a writ direction or order more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the 4th respondent in harassing the petitioner as wholly arbitrary, illegal and contrary to the spirit of the Supreme Court Judgement in Arnesh Kumar’s case and consequently direct the respondents particularly the 4th respondent not to call the petitioner to the police station without framing any case against him, in the interest of justice and pass such….” 2. Heard Sri S.Sharat Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home for the respondents. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the grievance of the petitioner is that the police are calling the petitioner to the police station without there being any crime registered against the petitioner. 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home for the respondents would submit that in the light of the interim order passed by this Court in I.A.No.1 of 2021 dated 23.08.2021, the respondent police are not calling the petitioner to the police station since no crime has been registered against the petitioner. 5. Considering the submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. However, the police are directed not to call the petitioner to the police station, in 4 absence of any crime against the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs.
