The instant petition has been filed for the following relief:- "Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing to the respondent no.2 forthwith to decide the restoration application No. 811 of 2010 of the petitioner pending in appeal No. 246/272/319/885 of 2003 since 25.3.2010 within the stipulated period fixed by this Hon'ble Court." 3. This Court directed the learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents to obtain instruction in the matter. 4. In compliance of the order of this Court, instruction sent by the authority is taken on record. 5. Mr. Rajesh Kumar Srivastava, learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents on the basis of the instruction submitted that matter is fixed for 22.5.2025 and the pending restoration application shall be decided expeditiously. 6. Considering the facts mentioned in the instruction dated 17.5.2025 sent by Settlement Officer of Consolidation, Jaunpur, the instant petition is finally disposed of directing the respondent no.2, Settlement Officer of Consolidation Jaunpur to decide the restoration application dated 25.3.2010 expeditiously preferably within period of six weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order before him after affording opportunity of hearing to both the parties.
