GP FOR SERVICES I 2. 3 THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE NYAPATHY VIJAY WRIT PETITION No.35696 of 2025 ORDER: The present writ petition is filed questioning the inaction of the respondents in not taking further steps pursuant to the letter dated 18.12.2023 issued by the 3rd respondent, vis-à-vis the wages being paid to the petitioner. 2. The petitioner was initially appointed on a contract basis vide proceedings dated 20.09.2023. The Chief Engineer permitted the contractor to engage the services of the petitioner as Contract Labour under the Un-Skilled category at RTPP through registered contractors, as a special case on medical grounds. Consequently, the petitioner was appointed as Contract Labour vide proceedings dated 16.10.2023 and has been continuing in the said capacity. 3. The grievance of the petitioner is that though he was engaged under the land loser category, he is being paid lesser wages, whereas a similarly placed person, namely Smt. I. Sarswathi, who is also working under the Un-Skilled category, is being paid higher wages of Rs.22,318/-. The petitioner submitted a representation to the respondent authorities, which was forwarded to the 2nd respondent. However, even after lapse of more than two years, no further action has been taken on the said representation. Hence, the present writ petition is filed. 4 4. Heard Sri Pagidipalli Madhukar Babu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Krishna Bushan Chowadary, learned Standing counsel for the respondent Nos.2 to 4. 5. Learned Standing Counsel for respondent Nos.2 to 4 submits that the respondent authorities would consider the representation made by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon. 6. Considering the above submission, the present writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
