This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents for non-payment of the bills for the works undertaken by the petitioner. 2. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning, and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-Corporation. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has executed the works, viz., (i) for upgradation of CC road from D.Nos.6-1-407 to 6-1-397 in Lakshmi Nagar, Ward Secretariat-56, 39th division, Ananthapuram, vide agreement No.98/2023-24, dt.21.08.2023; (ii) for upgradation of CC roads from D.No.13-486 to 13-510 and 13-532 to 13-539 in Venkata Reddy Colony under 24th ward secretariat, 15th division, WS-24, Ananthapuram, within the limits of the 4th respondent, vide agreement No.99/GGMP/EE- I/2023-24, dt.21.08.2023; (iii) construction of 300 mm CC drain from D.No.11-496-1 to 11.495, 11-495-A to 11-495, 11-488 to 11-493 (both sides), 450 mm CC drain from 11-872-1 to 11-473, 11-498 to 11-502 & 11-487 to 11-476 & Saibaba Temple opp Drain, Culvert in -3- W.P. No.28055 OF 2025 Date of order: 14.10.2025 30 division, 29 ward secretariat, vide agreement No.132/GGMP/EE2023-24, dt.19.09.2023, as entrusted by the 4th respondent. 4. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner duly executed the works to the satisfaction of the 4th respondent. It is further submitted that after execution of the works, the competent authority recorded the progress of the work in M Books and prepared a detailed statements with respect to the work undertaken by the petitioner. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner has submitted a final bill for Rs.5,78,001/- under the agreement No.98/2023-24, dt.21.08.2023; final bill for Rs.3,13,521/- under agreement No.98/2023-24, dt.21.08.2023 and a final bill for Rs.12,48,236/- under agreement No.98/2023-24, dt.21.08.2023 and the same was approved by the 4th respondent, but so far no payment has been made to the petitioner. 5. In reply, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 4th respondent submits that there is no dispute with respect to the completion of the work undertaken by the petitioner and the payment would be made shortly. 6. Considering the submissions, respondents 2 and 4 are hereby directed to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. -4- W.P.
