BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE MICHAEL ZOTHANKHUMA ORDER Date : 05-02-2025 Heard Mr. AK Gupta, learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. B Kaushik, learned counsel for all the respondents. 2. On 24.01.2025, Mr. R Mazumdar, learned counsel for the respondents had submitted that a settlement had been arrived at between the parties, wherein the petitioners had been given appointment as Tutor on the condition that they would forego their claims for payment of arrear salary. Mr. Mazumdar, learned counsel for the respondents had also submitted that he would submit the joining report of the petitioners along with the appointment order. 3. By the order dated 24.01.2025 passed by this Court, Mr. AK Gupta, learned counsel for the petitioners was to obtain instructions from the petitioners, as to whether the submission made by the counsel for the respondents was correct or not. 4. Today, Mr. B Kaushik, learned counsel for the respondents has submitted the joining report of the petitioners as Tutors. The appointment orders of the petitioners as Tutors has also been produced. 5. Mr. AK Gupta, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that while he has received instructions that the petitioner No. 1 has joined his post as Tutor, he has no information with regard to whether the petitioner No. 2 has joined his post as Tutor. 6. On perusing the documents brought by Mr. B Kaushik, learned counsel for
Page No.# 3/3 the respondents, through a covering letter dated 04.02.2205 issued by the Director, Elementary Education Department, it is seen that the petitioners have been appointed as Tutors and they have joined their posts on 01.02.2021 and
05.02.2021.
The above implies that a settlement has been arrived at between the parties. 7. Accordingly, in view of the above reasons, the contempt petition stands closed. 8. The documents which have been submitted by Mr. B Kaushik, learned counsel for the respondents through covering letter dated 04.02.2025 issued by the Director, Elementary Education Department, are made a part of the record and marked as Annexure-X collectively.
