This is a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the petitioner has sought to challenge the impugned communication letter/rejection dated March 25, 2025, issued by the respondent No. 3, whereby the petitioner has been denied of allotment of a dealership of retail outlet between Km. Stone Nos. 238 and 241 on NH-530B, Bareilly -Mathura Road, District Mathura, U.P., under Scheduled Castes Category. A further prayer for a direction to the respondent No. 3, has also been made to direct it to select the petitioner for running retail outlet between the aforesaid Km. Stones. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the application of the petitioner for awarding the retail outlet has been rejected on the ground that the lease deed offered by the petitioner has not been signed by the co-owners. It is submitted and as is on record, subsequent to the passing of this rejection order, the petitioner has made a representation in accordance with law on 03.04.2025, before the respondent No. 3, the Divisional Manager, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. Agra Divisional Office, 65/2, Sanajay Palace, Agra. We have been informed that no order has been passed on this representation. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction given upon the respondent No. 3 to grant the petitioner an opportunity of hearing and thereafter pass a reasoned order in accordance with law, on the representation of the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from date.
