1. In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for direction to respondents to release his retiral benefits.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that at this stage, he will be satisfied if a direction be given to respondent No.2 to decide the legal notice dated 03.03.2025 (Annexure P-4), by passing an appropriate speaking order in a time bound manner.

4. On asking of the Court, Mr. Vikas Arora, DAG, Punjab who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents and does not object to the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2 to consider and decide the legal notice dated 03.03.2025 (Annexure P-4), within a period of 08 weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order by passing a speaking order in accordance with law. In event, the petitioner is held entitled for grant of relief as per the law as claimed in the writ petition, the same be also released within a period of 04 weeks thereafter.
6. Pending applications, if any, shall also stand disposed of accordingly.
